About us
DogsGo4Walks provides dog walking and pet care services in the South Edinburgh area. It is a small family business run by myself, Dorota Worach, with occasional help from my husband, Piotr. We both grew up surrounded by pets and now live in Gilmerton with Oddy, our gorgeous three-year-old Westie.
As well as being a lover of dogs and animals in general, I am a trained nurse with an Open University Honours Degree in Psychology. I draw on these skills when caring for animals, for example I am able to administer first aid or medication and I use positive reinforcement techniques when working with dogs to encourage reliable recall and establish my status as group leader. Each of my charges gets plenty of positive reinforcement and verbal praise as well as abundant TLC and the occasional treat!
Before moving to Edinburgh we spent 15 years in London where I worked as a housekeeper and pet-sitter and Piotr worked as a painter and decorator. Over time our clients became close friends and we still keep in touch. Their references have formed the basis for our new business in Edinburgh and can be viewed in Testimonials.
We are fully licensed for dog walking by Edinburgh Council and we adhere to the Council’s of conduct. We are covered by Pet Business Insurance. We hold a Canine First Aid Certificate and carry a first aid kit on all walks. We offer GPS-tracked walks and daily updates so clients know exactly where their dog is walked and for how long. Most importantly, we treat any pet in our care with the love and attention they deserve.
