FAQs

Q: What happens at our preliminary meeting?
A: We discuss and agree all aspects of your pet’s care, so will need information on your pet’s preferences, behaviour, medical requirements and any home security issues.  We complete the necessary paperwork and take contact details for you, an alternative emergency contact and your vet, as well as showing you our CRB check documentation.

Q: What happens in a case of an emergency?
A: In the unlikely event of an emergency we would call you immediately; if we could not reach you, we would call your designated alternative contact. If your pet required veterinary attention, we would take them to your designated vet or to the nearest veterinary surgery, depending on the degree of urgency. We are fully trained in canine first aid.

Q: My dog is not allowed off lead. Can you still walk him/her?
A: Yes, many of our charges are walked on lead.

Q: My dog does not play with other dogs but enjoys walking with them. Is he suitable for your group walk?

A: Yes, in making up our groups our aim is to ensure that each dog feels safe and at ease with other pack members.

Q: Do you charge a cancellation fee?
A: We appreciate as much notice as possible for cancellation but minimum 24 hours notice is required, otherwise the full normal rate applies.

Q: Does my pet need to be fully vaccinated and vet registered?

A: Yes, we are only able to take on pets that are vet registered and all vaccinations must be up-to-date.

Q: Is my house and key safe?
No personal information is kept with keys. We are criminal record checked and our CRB check documentation is shown at the preliminary meeting. We are also happy to bring your key to you if you are ever locked out.
